Carn Scathe House is a hundred year old fisherman's house, facing south towards the sea and overlooking the cove. The beach is only a few hundred yards away. The house is set against a backdrop of cliffs with secluded sun-terraces and lawns in front.

The house offers comfortable accommodation for up to eight people, in five bedrooms. It has been thoroughly modernised, is double-glazed throughout, and has an up-to-date, fully-fitted kitchen and recently installed electric storage heating. A telephone is also available.

Note: Carn Scathe's elevated position gives panoramic views but unfortunately means it is unsuitable for the disabled.

The ground floor comprises:

The Kitchen has been recently refitted. It offers a good-sized working area, and is equipped with a wide range of modern equipment, including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dish-washer, washing machine, coffee maker and Kenwood mixer and food processor. Sufficient crockery, cutlery, and utensils are provided for eight people.

A door provides access from the kitchen to the rear courtyard area.

The Dining room contains a large circular dining table and chairs, with room for eight people. In addition there is a drinks cabinet, sideboard and Hi-fi unit.

The Lounge contains three sofas, together with a television and video recorder. There is also an electric fire. A well-stocked bookcase provides a variety of holiday reading.

This en-suite bedroom is at the rear on the ground floor. It contains a King size bed(5'0" x 6'6"), wash hand basin, toilet, bath and electric shower.

The Bathroom contains a wash-basin, bath and separate large electric shower (not visible in photograph).

Outside the house there is a south-facing front garden, laid with lawns and terrace areas. This is an excellent place to just lie back and relax in the calm of the cove. Garden furniture is provided, and a barbeque is available on the East terrace. A rotary clothes-line is also provided.

At the rear there is a small courtyard area, with an external WC. Beyond this is an extensive cliff area that was once cultivated gardens.

Carn Scathe House is all-electric: a slot-meter that accepts £1 coins is provided.

Private parking for one car is provided in the cove. Additional parking is available in the public car park.

A coin-operated telephone is available in the Dining Room.
